Travel desk shortcuts, notes and reminders: a practical setup

Organize F1–F12 shortcuts, reusable desk content and reminders without confusing stored notes with live GDS commands.

What are travel desk shortcuts?

Shortcuts put frequently used desk actions within reach of a key. Magic Toolbar includes an F1–F12 shortcut feature alongside a container manager, notes, phone directory and reminders. Configure them around work you actually repeat.

How do I organize command notes?

Keep Amadeus, Travelport and Sabre notes clearly labelled. Separate explanatory notes from text intended for copying, and review instructions when your GDS workflow changes. Stored notes are a reference, not a source of live fares or a guarantee that an entry is current.

What belongs in a reusable container?

Use approved standard wording, internal checklists and reusable desk content. Keep sensitive passenger data out of general-purpose snippets, and confirm who can access the Windows account before storing customer information.

How should I use reminders?

Create reminders for follow-ups and tasks, then review them as part of your day. Desktop reminders supplement your agency’s process; they should not be the sole record for payment deadlines, ticketing time limits or other critical commitments.

Do the meeting mute hotkeys mute my microphone?

No. Ctrl+Shift+Z silences Zoom and Ctrl+Alt+K silences all supported meeting apps and browsers, but only the sound you hear. They do not mute your microphone or stop your video, so use the meeting app’s own controls for those. The meeting mute guide lists every hotkey.

Make your travel desk faster

Magic Toolbar puts F1–F12 saved messages, a translator, notes, reminders and meeting mute hotkeys together on Windows, so your daily desk work moves faster.
