How can a translator help a travel agent?
Passengers often write in their own language: Arabic, Urdu, Persian, French or many others. A translator lets you read their message and reply in their language without leaving your desk. Magic Toolbar includes a translator on Windows next to your other daily tools.
How to translate a passenger message
Translate the passenger’s message first so you understand the request. Then write your reply in simple English, translate it and read it once more before you send it. Short, simple sentences translate much better than long ones full of travel codes.
- Copy the passenger’s message.
- Translate it in Magic Toolbar and read the meaning.
- Write a short reply in simple words.
- Translate your reply into the passenger’s language.
- Check names, dates and prices, then send it.
Is it safe to translate passenger messages?
The translator is the only Magic Toolbar tool that sends text online, and it sends only the text you pick. Remove passport numbers, card details and other private data before you translate. Passport reading and photo tools stay on your own PC.
Should I translate GDS codes and names?
No. Keep airline codes, city codes, booking references, names and times exactly as they are. Translation tools can change them or turn them into words. Translate the message around them, then check that every code and number is still correct before you send it.
